The recently launched Oasis Program aims to help build the capacity of small orphanages in Delhi, India. The operating environment and financial status of many of these homes means that many directors are unable to get the mental breathing space to plan strategically.
Our Oasis program will:
(1) Create a template website for each orphanage that clearly shows:the children; the leadership; financial transparency; a fundraising objective and provides a way for interested people to help. This is the critical marketing tool all orphanages must have to increase their chances of attracting donors/ supporters.
(2) To ensure that all orphanages receive a steady stream of Indianand foreign volunteers.
(3) Ensure that these volunteers are provided with the tools and guidance to return home and fundraise in support of their orphanage.
(4) Seek support from other agencies that can be directed by Oasis staff to where it most needed.Organize advocacy/ awareness-raising events in Delhi.
