With a focus on triple bottom line (people, profit and planet), the idea manifested as a retail store in Hauz Khas on 2nd October 2006 and since then it is working as a bridge between marginalized producers and markets. Established as ‘Shop with a cause’ in Delhi, people rely on Tatsat for the fact that there is no labour exploitation or child labour involved in making of the products. Moreover, most of the products are sourced from either NGOs or fair trade organisations or green producers. Today, Tatsat offers numerous alternatives to sweatshop production in personal and lifestyle accessories.
Retail Management intern: the candidate should have sound knowledge of
1. Retail sales
2. Inventory management
3. Working knowledge of visual merchandising and accounts
To qualify, you must be a pro-active person, creative, enthusiastic, a highly poised individual with strong convincing skills, and have attention to detail.  Time schedule is usual retail hours but it may vary from time to time depending on exhibitions and flea markets [during events, full day may be required]. Responsibilities include sales, inventory management, special promotions, marketing and event management.

Start Up! is an angel investor for social entrepreneurs with ideas for large-scale impact and transformation. It invests time, expertise, and networks in social entrepreneurs and their ideas and incubates social change models. Start Up! raises funds jointly with the social entrepreneurs and receives its return on investment after the entrepreneurs have secured their funding and the model has taken off. Start Up! also offers advisory services to mature-stage social entrepreneurs on scale and growth of their models and impact.

Start Up! is looking for an entrepreneurial intern / volunteer. An ideal candidate is someone who is keen to experience and engage with social change in action. Since we are a young organisation, you will have the opportunity to get involved across various internal and client-based projects that may be of your interest and/or skill area.

Responsibilities:
1. Sector mapping to build intelligence on key trends, challenges, and players in the eco-system.
2. Field-level activity and engagement with grassroots communities towards launch of new programmes.
3. Development of an incubation toolkit for start up social entrepreneurs.
4. Design and implementation of a benchmarking study surveys with successful social enterprises/entrepreneurs.
5. Data analysis and report writing for specific consulting projects.
Knowledge, skills and attributes required:

• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and engage with social change models; both for-profit and not-for-profit
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent skills in MS office/equivalent applications, especially MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
• Must be comfortable with the internet research
• Knowledge of written and spoken English and Hindi; knowledge of additional Indian languages will be a plus
• Willingness to travel to rural India

Minimum education qualification and work experience requirements :

• We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds with a preference for some prior work experience
• Prior experience with a social enterprise will be an advantage
