About Pravah Jaipur Initiative -
Having successfully nurtured a number of initiatives within Pravah as well as within other organizations, Pravah has incubated Pravah Jaipur Initiative (PJI) – a youth development organization based in Jaipur.

At PJI we support young people bring about the positive change they wish to see – in their own selves and the society around them.

Our work has a diverse range – working with adolescents on issues of social justice and conflict transformation, facilitating college students to build their understanding of local and global issues, supporting young people to start their own social initiatives or organisations. We strive to build a just society – a society built on values of non-violence, love, diversity, interdependence, collaboration and sustainable development. That, besides making a case for youth development in India.

Role:

• Mobilizing young people across schools and colleges in Jaipur for social change leadership and other skills and perspective building workshops.
• Developing student volunteer opportunities and placements with other NGOs and partner organizations in Jaipur and outside.
• Documentation and regular reporting of events.
• Participating in strategic planning and review processes of the organization.
• Resource mobilization
• Day to day management of the office.

We are looking for a person with:

• A positive orientation and cheerful disposition.
• Openness to learning, deep people orientation, leadership skills and enterprising spirit.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in both Hindi and English, and a passion for working with young people and strong commitment to social justice issues.
• 0 –4 years experience.
• Capacity to work hard and keep commitments.
• Good computer and basic management skills
