1.Web Developer:

Short Description : We are looking for people who are great at building user-friendly websites from any CMS ( The more popular ones – Drupal, Joomla and WordPress would be preffered). Passion for environmental related issues is an extra advantage. Send in an email with links or screen-shots of work you have already done and a 400 word write-up on ‘How I would build a green website’.

Hint: We would like to read about the websites you consider as great, your passion for the environment, your expertise in developing websites and what really is green?

Duration : 2 months

2) Social Media Evangelist :

Short Description : We are looking for someone who can seamlessly integrate social media tools into our website and then work on promoting it. We know that Facebook connect functionality and twitter are two main tools but there are plenty of options to be explored beyond them (include email newsletters, rich embeds into this category). An added knowledge of SEO functionality would help. We would also need you to connect with PR tools on the web including Press Release agencies.

We are looking beyond plain promotions to interactive involvement. It would test your innovation and managerial skills. Send in an email with a 400 word essay on ‘How would I use social media tools for user targeting and analytics’. A side note on improvements to the existing site from social media would help.

Volunteering Positions: We at Environment Press endeavor to match volunteers across the world to organizations working in this domain. For organizations and volunteers, this provides an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse set of organizations and people, either part-time or on project basis.

Environment press is an Online News Portal, where people can hop in to find out about the latest information on what going on in the city and the region at large on issues related to environment and sustainability, and how they can be a part of the change. These reports will be first hand experiences of our youth journalists who will use blogs, photographs videos and audios to tell their personal stories that others can connect with.

Apart from this, we are also in the process of building a volunteer database through which organizations connected to this domain or corporates working to work on a project can select volunteers. We also offer other services like documentary film making, event promotion and partner campaigns.
