Internships
Internships at SAATH are an opportunity for students and development professionals from around the world to experience working with a grass-root level organisation and contributing to issues such as livelihoods, education, health and urban and rural development.
There are two types of Internships one can apply:
1.Individual Internships -This is an opportunity for individuals (students and working professionals below the age of 35 years) who would be interested in taking up an internship within SAATH’s existing programmes.
2. Partner Internships -These are internships that are offered by various colleges and universities within whose curriculum Internships are mandatory.

SAATH is a non-governmental organization registered as a public charitable trust in Gujarat, India. At SAATH, we utilize market-based strategies to create inclusive societies by empowering India’s urban and rural poor. SAATH’s one-stop, integrated services reach over 100,000 slum dwellers in Ahmedabad, and many more in Gujarat and Rajasthan states of India.
In Gujarati the word saath means, “Together, Co-operation, a Collective or Support.’ Since 1989 SAATH has facilitated participatory processes that improve the quality of life for the urban and rural poor. SAATH also provides a platform for individuals, institutions and corporates to partner with Bottom-of-Pyramid communities. Together, we are creating inclusive cities.

i am a BBA from Himchal Pradesh University (2009) and presently i am pursuing Mba rural mangement (2009- 11) from Kiit School of Rural management. As part of Mba i have to intern with an organisation for a period of two months starting tentatively on 1st july 2010. i hereby volunteer to be part of SAATH in lieu of my internship. i have a straight bent to be working in promoting livelihoods through handlooms and handicrafts. i am also open to work with rural marketing and natural resource conservation projects.
