The maximum grant for each fellowship will be limited upto Rs 1.5 lakhs. The fellowship covers stipend (for 12 months@Rs 10,000=Rs. 1,20,000) and contingent expenditure on transport/travel, stationery, preparation of report, consumables, printing etc (Rs. 30,000/-). Applicants getting stipend from any Institution/UGC/CSIR/other source are eligible for contingency only.
Financial support will not be provided for:

  • Non-expendable articles such as equipment, vehicle, furniture etc.
  • Foreign travel or other expenses for visit abroad.

However, the VMukti system would require only 10mbps.  The savings is a result of the unique P2P design, where each viewer’s PC (or similar device) acts as a “supernode” to render the audio/video stream to other viewers. As new participants log onto the video conference, the server forwards that person to an existing supernode, and the process repeats itself as often as necessary.  The product works economically; as the number of participants increase, the system actually works better and is not at risk of crashing.
