Start Up! aims to ensure that many more social change ideas are seeded in public domains and new leaders emerge on their own terms.

- Willingness to travel to rural India
- Knowledge of written and spoken English and Hindi; knowledge of additional Indian languages will be a plus
- Minimum education graduate
- Prior work experience is preferred but not mandatory
Job profile:
The intern will be allocated work based on the projects active in the duration of his/her internship. An indicative list of opportunities currently available is given below.
1. Conduct a detailed research for a Start Up! portal targetted at social entrepreneurs, including:
- Mapping the landscape (secondary research on similar products);
- Conducting a market dipstick to identify potential categories of users and their specific needs
- Recommending key content areas for the portal based on information from the market dipstick
- Meeting social media experts to identify innovative ideas for making the portal interactive
- Recommending strategic content partners
- Recommending technical requirements and
- Creating a shortlist of organisations for design and development of the portal
2. Assist with current Start Up! projects, primarily in the areas of:
- Quantitative and qualitative research (primary and secondary);
- Data analysis and report writing;Support towards preparing business plans for new social enterprises;Field-level activity and engagement with grassroots communities towards launch of new programmes; and
- Identification of funders for projects incubated by Start Up!.
The Opportunity :Start Up! is looking for an entrepreneurial intern. An ideal candidate is someone who is keen to experience and engage with social change in action. Since we are a young organization, the intern will have the opportunity to get involved across various internal and client-based projects that may be of his/her interest and/or skill area.
Stipend: Unpaid
